Description

The Verndale School District is seeking a Part-Time (.60 FTE) 7-12 Math Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Verndale has been certified as a Level 1 and 2 Marzano High Reliability School and currently serves 550 students in our K-12 building. The community is very supportive of their school and is located in central Minnesota near the Brainerd lakes area. 

 

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and administer math classes classes consistent with school district goals.

  • Promote and foster a love for learning and math.

  • Promote and provide a safe and optimal learning environment for all students.

  • Continue to acquire professional knowledge and investigate new educational strategies by participating in professional development opportunities.

  • Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities.

  • Encourage parental involvement in students' education and ensure effective communication with students and parents.

  • Ensure that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a positive learning environment.

  • Coordinate with other professional staff members in professional learning communities and participate in faculty meetings and committees. 

  • Select and requisition appropriate instructional materials and other supplies.
