Description: High School Intervention Specialist position, Grades 9-12. 

Job Summary:  Teacher will work with individual students and collaborate with General Education teachers to provide appropriate interventions and supports in an inclusion setting as determined by a students Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Qualifications: Valid Ohio K-12 Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive Teaching License or equivalent. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to create differentiated and individual learning opportunities based on student needs. Candidates must be highly motivated, data driven, and team oriented. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficient technology skills, including but not limited to: word processing, gradebook databases, online testing applications, and real-time classroom assessment applications. 

Responsibilities:
Promote achievement for all students identified as at risk of academic failure through a consultative and problem solving intervention model with staff, students and parents.
Facilitate intervention plans for students not achieving competence on district grade level competency assessments and state proficiency tests.
Collect data on student IEP goals
Utilize data to make data driven decisions when creating new or revised IEP goals
Utilize data to make data drivien decision to facilitate appropriate internventions in the classroom
Facilitate problem solving using the intervention model.
Identify appropriate intervention team members with building principal.
Utilize and execute district Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Assist teachers in the development of instructional and/or behavioral strategies to insure student success.
Actively participate in Teacher-Based Team meetings to create, design, and implement appropriate interventions for all students
Utilize direct observation methods to identify road blocks, collect data, and provide feedback to teachers.
Work with school psychologist to determine appropriate accomodations required for student testing; district and state-wide.
Develop positive rapport with staff and students.

Working Conditions: 9-12 High School. Small school setting with approximately 100 students and growing.
