Part-Time Welding Instructor  
General Description:  This part-time as needed position is in the Adult Education Division.  The instructor will guide the classroom and lab learning experiences for the students preparing to be welders.  The Welding Instructor will report to the Adult Education Supervisor via the Construction Trades Coordinator.  
1. Three to five years' experience working in the welding field
2. Current work in the field along with being a certified welding inspector (CWI) preferred
3. Past experience in adult education teaching or training preferred with experience in structural fabricating, some preventative maintenance in MIG, TIG, Shielded Metal ARC welding and plasma cutting
4. Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and tools of the welding program
5. Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
6. Compile and maintain records of training activities and prepare other reports as required
7. Ability to move about in classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior/learning
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and peers
9. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
10. Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students   

Length of Contract:            Part-time

Salary:                                  $25 per hour
