Literacy Ability Grouping (K-5th) Teacher
Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Elementary Teacher, English as a Second Language (EFL/ELL/ESL/ESOL), English, Journalism, Reading, Reading Specialist, Reading/Language Arts.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
American Academy (AA) is accepting resumes and applications for literacy/ability grouping teachers of all experience levels for the 2020-21 school year. AA teachers work in teams, planning together and working together to ensure that every student in each grade receives the same great educational experience. Ability grouping teachers teach reading groups for two to three different grades (working with multiple grade-level teams) as well as one section of math. The reading groups are typically small and require intensive, data-driven, literacy instruction. Instructors at American Academy are evaluated based on the specific components outlined in AA's Teacher Job Responsibilities document.
