Substitute School Nurse and/or Health Aide

REPORTS TO:    Principal and Director of Special Education

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Illinois Registered Nurse License
2. PEL endorsed in school nursing with training to provide services in IEP meetings requiring medical plans and goals.
3. An interest and/or experience in working with children in grades Pre-K through 8.
4. Training and experience in managing diabetes plans.
5. Excellent attention to details in the handling of medical records and the administration of doctor-prescribed medication to children.
6. A strong commitment to professional excellence.
7. The ability to work collaboratively with others.
8. A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities.

WORK YEAR:    School Year (9 1/2 months)

SALARY:   Per WEA contract.
