Computer Applications and Career Education Teacher (Middle School)
Must hold a certificate issued by Florida Department of Education.
The certificate must be in one of the following types: Professional Certificate, Temporary Certificate, Statement of Status of Eligibility.
The certificate position area must be in Technology Education (Industrial Arts).
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th.
The certificate status must be active.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
-Teach Computer Applications and Career Explorations. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Windows 7, Google Docs, Cloud concepts, internet research, and keyboarding principles. -Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning -Develop lesson plans, units of study and assessments that are aligned with state standards and established procedures -Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment -Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction -Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures -Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school -Provide appropriate feedback on work -Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies -Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development -Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations -Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings -Establish, maintain, assess, and (if needed) accommodate individual student progression plans -Initiate and present innovative ideas for special projects, school functions, field trips, extracurricular activities, and clubs -Other duties as assigned.
