Part-Time Job Coach - North Polk High School
Current 2019/2020 School year
Responsible for providing direct support, assistance, and transportation for students with their work-based learning job site and provide learning around the necessary skills related to their employment.
Current Starting Hours: 3:30pm - 6:00pm Monday - Tuesday - Thursday
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred experience working with persons with developmental disabilities or in another health-related field preferred.
Excellent communication, written skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsible for ensuring a person-centered approach for employment support.
Provide support at the job location with the student.
Transport self and student to and from job placement.
Assist individuals on a one-to-one basis to achieve employment-related goals.
Serve as liaison between employers, individuals, family, and school while maintaining professional, positive relationships with employers.
Report and maintain communication with the supervisor, providing updates and progress as required and submitted timely.
Flexibility in the scheduling of work hours, location, and changes in the individual’s job tasks
Work with organizations to provide guidance and training.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
This is a part-time position.
No benefits are available for this position.
Compensation ranges from $15-$18 an hour, depending on experience.
Hours could vary during school breaks and summer months.
