Supporting Students to Excel Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Teaching, Learning and Innovation
Time: 200 Day Position
1. Master’s Degree. Graduate studies in supervision and instruction, school organization and administration and educational leadership. Knowledge of current trends in behavioral interventions, instructional strategies and in-service training.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in successful leadership in schools.
3. Prior involvement in establishing, restoring, and/or maintaining positive school culture.
Complete a comprehensive needs assessment to identify and address the root causes and needs of students identified for programming;
Analyze data to monitor the impact of designed interventions, demonstrate the success of the plan and justify re-adjusting the plan when/if needed;
Establish Graduation Action Teams to ensure that the implementation of programming is providing a seamless, systematic approach for participants and that no innovations are colliding;
Coordinate systems of support for mentoring, academic advising and connecting with wrap around services;
Provide and lead professional development for linkage coordinators to execute evidence based interventions;
Provide parental support, communication and experiential sessions to strengthen school-to-home collaboration;
Partner with outside agencies to provide specialized training and unique opportunities for participants;
Coordinate exposure trips to deepen understanding of options for college and career choices;
Oversee all expenditures to ensure district processes are adhered to and grant guidelines are followed.
Serve as a liaison to out-of-school time programming, student support services and other outside agencies by attending meetings, serving on committees and securing additional opportunities for participants.
Works with principals, teachers and parents to establish expectations for linkage coordinators and the overall implementation of the program. Supervise and conduct mediations and assist with mentoring.

Terms of Employment: Salary:
Starting March 2, 2020 $47,000
The Supporting Students to Excel Coordinator will oversee the program to support the district to reach the goals identified in our plan. Our approach is customized to assure that the East Cleveland City School District will meet the goals of closing the achievement gap and providing multiple pathways to success for all students.
