Cologne Academy (Kindergarten-8th Grade Public School) - Cologne, MN is located in Carver County and currently

The ideal candidate will be joining a large special education team with an on-site coordinator, school psychologist,
school social worker, behaviors analyst, due process secretary, paraprofessionals, and all related service providers.
POSITION: Speech Language Pathologist .6 FTE
Providing speech and language therapy for students with special education services including speech, language, voice,
fluency and neurogenic swallowing disorders and communication impairments. Conducts support research related to
speech and language problems. Responsible for implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP) in accordance with
due process rights of students.
The Educational Speech / Language Pathologist (SLP) identifies, evaluates, designs, and implements appropriate
plans for students, writes IEPs, and is a member of the Child Study Team. The Educational SLP also meets with parents,
interprets student progress, informs parents about their child's progress, and is available for in-services. Qualified
candidates should have a strong background in implementing researched-based instructional strategies, equity/diversity
and meeting the needs of unique learners. Successfoul candidates should also be creative and have both good
communication and problem-solving skills.
- Licensed by PELSB (MN SLP license)
- Experience with Special Education forms and required paperwork
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
