  1. Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of Illinois Standards. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
  2. Creates a classroom environment and research-based program of study that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
  3. Demonstrates appropriate academic planning
  4. Is objective and consistent in student assessment
  5. Implements district curriculum
  6. Sets objectives which are clear and student centered
  7. Creates lessons which follow a logical and orderly sequence
  8. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of subject area(s)
