We are redefining education in New Ulm.  We offer an early learning center for pre-school and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities and core curriculum.  We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory and experiential learning opportunities.  Our new high school building is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational and work ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students.

 Paraprofessional - Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)

Job Summary:                                   
This position may include but not limited to classroom and/or childcare duties. Paraprofessionals facilitate student academic growth and social growth by providing individual or small group support/reinstruction and service at the guidance/direction of certified staff. This position requires confidentiality, good communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, teamwork, and knowledge of technology and may require heavy lifting.

Experience and ability to work with students; ability to follow and carry out the classroom teacher’s instructions with a teamwork ethic; familiarity with computer use and good communication skills and flexibility.  High School Diploma or GED required.
Work schedule:                      
Nine week session starting Feruary 2020
Daytime hours: Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings
Start Date:                              
February 2020
Starting at $12.83/hour
