Description

Director of Pupil Services

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, to implement, administer and maintain the school district's Title 1 service programs and services.


Job Goal

 

To help students achieve personal fulfillment by providing them with guidance and counseling services to make successful personal, education, and occupational life plans

    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent.

    Equipment
    Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, and telephone.

    Travel Requirements
    Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Qualifications Profile
  • Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and School Counselor Endorsement or eligibility
  • Broad Knowledge of theories of individual and group guidance program design, and career educational information placement
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations. 
Education
  • Preferred: Bachelor's and Masters Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in School Administration.
