POSITION:     Kitchen Helper/Cashier
                                   3.0  hours/day

COMPENSATION:              According to the 2019-2020 approved salary schedule for Nutrition Services Personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:                      
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all employees, students and parents
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with and/or capable of learning cash register operation (PS1000)
  • Punctual and excellent attendance record
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead and keep track of multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and accurately under tight time constraints 
  • Knowledge of Health Department Regulations for safe food handling and sanitation
  • Knowledge of School Food Service Basics preferred
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, twisting and lifting up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist and/or operate all kitchen equipment as needed
  • Assist with basic food preparation as needed
  • Help serve or cashier during lunch periods
  • Capable of completing all general kitchen duties efficiently, including food preparation, serving, clean up, washing pots and pans, washing dishes, putting stock away
  • Complete production records and other paperwork as needed
  • Any other duties which may be assigned
  • In-person attendance required
