JobID 309 : Floater Special Education Teacher (#1976332)
The CAIU Early Intervention Program is seeking highly motivated floater teacher to work in preschool special education settings or community preschool settings.
The professional in this position will be responsible for providing instruction, support and assessing progress of children ages 3 to 5 in community and classroom settings. It is necessary to support identified children's individual needs in collaboration with CAIU related services staff, and community site staff. The special education floater teacher will manage the provision of strategies to community/classroom staff, as well as the EPPs, and other professional staff who interact with the children during the program day. Assignment is subject to change from day to day based on program needs.
Required: BS in Special Education or Early Childhood and Active PA Instructional I or II; Special Education or Early Childhood Education
The professional must have the ability to work with adults, families and children. Knowledge of child development, disabilities including autism, a flexible interactional style, organizational skills, writing ability, record keeping skills, and the ability to complete required paperwork is important.
