INTERNAL TEACHING CANDIDATES ONLY

POSITION:                  HEAD TEACHER – K-12 Reading Consultant Coordinator
LOCATION:                District Wide reporting to Assistant Superintendents
WORK YEAR:             School year   
STARTING:                 2019 - 2020
SALARY:                     This position is paid by stipend under the teacher contract

QUALIFICATIONS:     New Hampshire certified as a Reading Specialist. Demonstrated  understanding of best instructual practices. Solid foundation of knnowlege, skills and disposition. Ability to embrace, facilitate and implement district initiaitives and gather, organize and analyze data for instructional decision making.  Evidence of ability to work effectively with a diverseity of individuals  and or groups. 
 
SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:      
Recommend  improvement of curriculum, instruction, assesment and resources. Plan, develop and deliver professional development opportunities. Coordinate  consistency and collaboration throughout the District.  Meet regularly with school administration and Asst Superintendents, other department heads toassist in planning and implementing school goals and PD.
Lead department meetings and workshops, serve as a liaison between the department, guidance and  community. Attend and actively participate in Language Arts steering committee.
