Description:  School Psychologist Intern for Highland School District (180 days per year; salary of $15,000; 2 personal leave days; ISPA conference registration and hotel)(2 positions)

Job Summary:  Applicants must know/be able to:

  • Assist existing psychologists with caseload management tasks
  • Complete assessments
  • Participate in IEP process, including completing Domains/Re-eval/Eligibility paperwork
  • Assist teachers in writing initial IEPs
  • Assist/participate in all areas of Response to Intervention, including problem-solving, planning interventions, collecting data, monitoring progress, and use of data to make decisions
  • Use Curriculum Based Measurement for progress monitoring
  • Assist in planning pre-referral interventions and differentiated instruction strategies
  • Consult with teachers and school personnel
  • Assist with benchmarking early childhood through middle school
  • Assist with counseling
  • Assist with behavioral interventions using the RtI process.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills
  • Work cooperatively with others

Qualifications:  Must be enrolled in an accredited University in either a Master's or Doctoral School Psychology Program.

Salary:  Must meet qualifications to be eligible for reimbursement according to ISBE regulations as a School Psychologist Intern
