The Lakewood Local school district in Hebron, Ohio is seeking qualified candidates for the position of superintendent following the retirement of Mary Kay Andrews. The search firm, Finding Leaders (findingleaders.com.) is assisting the Board of Education in the search for an outstanding educational leader.
The Lakewood Local schools are located in Hebron, Ohio about 30 miles east of Columbus along Interstate 70 in Licking County including the Buckeye Lake area. The district has about 1900 students, 5 school buildings, 85 square miles, $238,778 assessed value per pupil and spends about $11,975 per pupil. The mission of Lakewood is: We are a community of learners inspiring each student to explore, grow, and achieve. The district goals are: Communication and Trust, Social Emotional Well-being, Teaching and Learning and Facilities and Learning Environments.
COMPENSATION: The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, competitive for area and with a multi-year contract.

The Lakewood Local School District Board of Education
brought a diverse group of district administrators, staff,
parents and community members to engage in the process of
developing a comprehensive strategic plan for the district.
The Core Team met in four separate sessions beginning in
January of 2019. The purpose of the meetings was to consider,
discuss and debate the future needs of the district. This work
resulted in the development of a vision, mission, core values,
goals and strategies to focus the district’s work for the next
three to five years.
The Vision, Mission and Core Values set the foundation for
the plan. An aspirational vision statement is key to setting the
destination. The mission is a statement of the organization’s
daily work, and the Core Values are intentional belief
statements for the district and community.
