St. Gall School is seeking a positive, student-centered, energetic teacher for a full-time Preschool teacher position. St. Gall is located on the Southwest side of Chicago in a predominantly Latino area. We are a progressive, child-centered Catholic School. We value positivity, energy and creativity, and are in search of candidates who will join us with an understanding of the importance of education the whole child. Our small class sizes require that all our teachers to be skilled at differentiating lessons and units of instruction.
This position is responsible for instructing and supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas. The qualified candidate will also be responsible for implementing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and school administration.
The candidate must hold a current (or anticipated) certificate/licensure, a BA degree, and other requirements outlined below. Our ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, strive for highly engaging instruction, make instructional decisions based on the needs of the students, and facilitate a student-centered classroom. The ideal candidate will also take advantage of professional development opportunities and be a team player who invests in the success of the whole school, all students, and all colleagues.
