Summary: In collaboration with the Nature Program Supervisor and other Nature Programs Facilitators, this position provides the opportunty to develop and present a variety of experiences to engage audiences with nature. The Nature Programs Facilitator II is involved with program planning and development as well as Hickory Knolls events, marketing efforts, summer camps and a variety of other nature education experiences and will be expected to work an average of 25 hours per week.

Education – Bachelors degree in Environmental Education, Natural Resources, Biological sciences or Education required. Valid drivers license required.
Experience – At least two years of experience communicating information about the natural world to a variety of audiences in a non-formal education setting. Experience in development, design and implementation of nature education programs preferred.
Personal – Professional, enthusiastic, comfortable in public speaking settings, pleasant personality.  Work record must show reliability, initiative, tact and productivity.
Knowledge and Ability Must have basic understanding of regional ecosystems, including plant and animal life. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including students, families and the general public. Interpretation of natural resources in formal and informal program settings. Excellent customer service skills. Willingess to work in a variety of weather conditions and flexibility to work nights and weekends as nature center operations demand.
