Description:  Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for a full-time special education paraprofessional at Ellington Middle School.  Candidate will be working in the PAL program. Candidate should have Physical Management Training (PMT), or be willing to participate in PMT training, and have skills in de-escalation strategies. Seeking skilled individual with strong ability to build positive relationships with students, support high school level academics and manage challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:  Minimum of high school diploma required. Candidate will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check as well as a DCF search.

Working Conditions:  This position is a contracted 10-month position with benefits and follows the school calendar.  Chosen candidate will work 6.75 hours/day for a total of 33.75 hours/week; Monday – Friday.
