SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Instructional Coach is a critical asset for improving student achievement. The role of the coach is to build teachers’ understanding of instructional practices as related to Common Core, Technology, Student Engagement, and Data Driven Instruction. An instructional coach is a teacher who models continuous improvement. The Instructional coach works collaboratively with the Academic Directors to promote reflection, provide guidance and structure, focus on strengths, and address classroom concerns. He or she is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in the classroom through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and providing feedback to teachers. This is not a supervisory position and does not include evaluation of teachers. .
