Technology Support Assistant

Summary: Responsible for all end user support and the support and maintenance of all District computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and related software.  This position reports to the Technology Coordinator and building Principals. This individual will be working with teachers and students utilizing the district technology to support learning in the classrooms on a daily basis. They will assist teachers in researching and lesson planning and the execution of said lessons with students.
•         High School diploma, some formal post high school training.
•         Knowledge of both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
•         Knowledge of popular spread sheet, word processing, presentation and database programs.
•         Knowledge of Internet use and web site development and maintenance.
•         Skill in hardware, software, and network infrastructure installation and repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•         Assists staff members and students in troubleshooting all technology based problems.
•         Performs installs, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of all computer hardware and software.
•         Installs, maintains and supports peripheral equipment, including but not limited to printers, scanners,        
          cameras, SmartBoards, and LCD projectors.
•         Installs, maintains and supports Windows and Macintosh desktop operating software.
•         Assists with management of network hardware and operating system software.
•         Maintains equipment inventory.
•         Assists building staff with management of consumable supplies for technology equipment.
•         Maintains current information and knowledge of school district operations.
•         Maintains professionalism and respects confidential nature of the work place.
•         Other duties as assigned.
