  • Monday - Friday / 8hrs per day / hours TBD / 260 days 


TITLE:  Inter-School Courier/Receiver
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  2. Possesses a valid Kentucky drivers license
  3. Has the ability to read and follow written directions
  4. Has the ability to perform heavy physical labor
  5. Has the ability to lift and move objects weighing at least 75 pounds numerous times per day
  6. Exhibits personal habits in keeping with the assigned responsibilities
  7. Has demonstrated the ability to relate well with people
  8. Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities

REPORTS TO:  Custodial and Warehouse Supervisor
 
JOB GOAL:  To transport, in a timely manner, supplies and materials necessary to maintain the operation of the schools and to keep maintenance buildings safe, clean, and attractive
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities
  2. Operate the inter-school courier system as scheduled
  3. Pick up inter-school mail and deliver to all schools and central office
  4. Deliver custodial supplies to schools and convey appropriate paperwork
  5. Deliver all special courier deliveries and testing materials to all schools
  6. Deliver Facility Management maintenance supplies to schools as needed
  7. Keep the grounds of the central office and maintenance building neat and clean at all times
  8. Shovel, salt, and maintain sidewalks, as appropriate at the maintenance building and central office
  9. Raise the United States flag at the central office and maintenance building at or before 8:00 a.m. on each school day and lower it at the assigned time
  10. Cut grass at maintenance building and central office at least once a week during growth season
  11. Report immediately to the Director of Facility Management any damage to school property
  12. Move furniture or equipment from one school to another or to storage as required for various activities as directed by the Director of Facility Management
  13. Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste
  14. Make minor repairs to equipment such as chairs, desks and locks
  15. Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor

 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Hourly (Grade 06)
  • 8 per day
  • 40 per wk.
  • 260 days
  • 12 months
