Green Meadows Intermediate Elementary in Frankfort, Indiana, is seeking an outstanding special education teacher and encourages qualified candidates to apply. Green Meadows has approximately 450 students with a diverse population of students and was named a 2018 & 2019 Professional Learning Community (PLC) Model School by Solution Tree. Teachers and support staff are involved in weekly collaborative team meetings focused on standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Green Meadows teachers have multiple opportunities to be involved in professional development at the district, building, and grade levels.

Along with holding, being in the process of securing, or willing to work towards an Indiana Professional's Educator's License covering grades 3-5 and mild intervention, a qualified candidate must be able to do the following effectively: - give 100% every day - put children first in all decisions - take initiative to continuously learn and grow as an educator - build positive, professional relationships with all stakeholders - communicate and collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff in a PLC model - co-teach, co-plan, and co-assess with classroom teachers - meet the diverse needs of all learners - promptly complete Individual Education Plans and other special education paperwork - effectively facilitate special education conferences
