Transportation Router / Safety Specialist

Routes special needs students; including preschool students Trains special needs drivers and aides on equipment and buses Helps maintain training records for all drivers and aides Liaison between schools and transportation department Serves as the afternoon dispatcher and communicates with drivers via radio Provides customer services to parents, department employees, building administrators, and others Maintains required records per DOT regulations Is cross-trained on the other duties of the department's office staff

8 hours/day (9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Monday - Friday 12 months/year
