About the Position
This position works as a member of the building and District health services team to coordinate and carry out health care services at the building.  The Classified Nurse will assist the Certificated School Nurse in implementing individual health care plans for a medically fragile student with critical health care needs; assist the student with activities of daily living; assist with the implementation of health related issues included in the student's Individual Education Plan; maintain and monitor the student's health care records and data, including documentation of medication administration and other confidential student records; administer medications and treatments; assess level of responsiveness and give appropriate medical care per emergency plan; and alert the Certificated School Nurse and parent as appropriate regarding student medical concerns; and performs related duties as assigned.  The successful applicant will have a significant amount of interaction with students, parents, and District staff, requiring the ability to interact effectively with a variety of people.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. One year of nursing work experience preferred.

Salary:  
2020-21 Salary Schedule: $33.80 per hour. Prof-Tech level 8.
