|Qualifications:||The Beach Operations Manager must be at least 18 years of age and must possess the Life Guard Certificate from the American Red Cross and have a Red Cross CPR/AED and first aid certification. He/she has to successfully complete an in-water skills test and a written examination of lifeguard skills and safety. LGI instructor certification is preferred. Prior experience in working with the public, supervising staff and cash management is preferred.
Days & Hours:
|Under the immediate supervision of the Facility Manager, the Beach Manager is responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the Beach for the demands of the customers at the Beach and assist with the daily Beach operations. Primary focus is act as manager on duty during scheduled shift and to assist & lead preseason training/weekly in-services of lifeguard staff. This position needs to be directly involved with the emergency action plan and to direct/lead staff in any given emergency.
The Beach Manager position is a seasonal position working mid-May through mid-September.
This is a part time position that typically requires working up to 25-30 hours a week. It is expected that the Beach Manager work a minimum of 6-8 hours in lifeguarding shifts.
