Salary (non-negotiable) View Administrator Salary Scale
Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Board of Education Administrators and Supervisors Salary Scale. Includes benefits package.
12 months, 260 days
Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit II bargaining unit for Administrators and Supervisors
Eligibility for Maryland teaching certificate with Administrator II endorsement.
Must be tenured with five (5) years successful classroom experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience as a school administrator at the appropriate age/grade level of assignment preferred.
Knowledge of the Maryland Professional Standards for Educational Leaders.
Experience in the Teacher Evaluation Process.
Knowledge of the requirements of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program.
Ability to ensure teachers’ utilization of professional development opportunities by effectively demonstrating strategies and techniques conducive to optimal student performance.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills and personal qualifications necessary to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community.
Directly responsible for the supervision of the instructional staff, clerical staff and entire elementary programs and the routine administrative duties necessary for the operation of an elementary school including those duties outside the hours of the standard school day.
Directly responsible for drafting, designing and updating a comprehensive School Improvement Plan that will provide students, parents and staff members the expectations and guidance to ensure the success of all students assigned to the respective elementary school.
Directly responsible for the scholastic, discipline, and attendance success of all students assigned to the respective elementary school.
Collaboratively responsible for the supervision of the building service and food service staff with the respective central office departments servicing the school site.
