Staffing Coordinator - Office of Human Resource Services

(Pending availability of funds and Board of Education approval)

Qualifications

• College degree (B.A. / B.S) preferred • 3-5 years of professional level experience working in a large, urban school district OR other educational setting

Definition

The Staffing Coordinator provides superior customer service-oriented support related to the staffing of all school and central office based roles. This position reports to Executive Director of Staffing and Recruitment and works closely with other Central Office and school-based staff. This position may also be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Staffing Coordinator will support the work of the Human Resource Services Division in a number of ways, including: 1. Provides superior customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, including: • Responding to and resolving individual employee inquiries and issues related to staffing. • Working with a variety of teams within central office • Supporting the execution of recruitment and selection activities 2. Supports school leadership teams with filling vacancies with high quality internal or external candidates 3. Accurately prepares regular reports related to staffing of schools and central office 4. Interacts with third-party vendors in a professional and effective manner 5. Maintains accurate vacancy and roster data 6. Appropriately escalates complex staffing issues 7. Assists in the execution of various programs and initiatives including, but not limited to, the following: • Supporting school leadership teams with the strategic use of recruitment and staffing technologies • Supporting the Educator Effectiveness Division of the Talent Office with educator induction • Ensuring school leadership teams are in compliance with all district, state and collectively bargained policies and procedures 8. Support the selection process of educator and leadership candidates 9. Support the execution of staffing related issues including but not limited to the following: • Highly qualified status • Licensure, degree and other credentials • Surplus educator tracking and monitoring 10. Analyzes and strategically uses relevant data to support school leadership teams in making workforce decisions, including sourcing qualified applicants and placing teachers KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of the following: • Excellent problem solving abilities, including the ability to identify challenges and actively work to find solutions • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships • Commitment to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Outstanding written and oral communication skills • The ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment • Superb computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) • Familiarity with HRIS technologies • A passionate belief in the mission of NPS and commitment to increasing the effectiveness of its workforce in order to increase student achievement.

Salary, Terms & Affiliation

Salary: $47,000 - $58,000 Employment Period: Twelve (12) Months Union Affiliation: None
