Description

BridgePrep Academy of Orange is looking for a school counselor to help our students achieve their highest academic potential by working with our instructional team to help remove and reduce social and psychological barriers to learning. As our counselor you will work with all students to maximize their academic and social skills.

Your role will primarily be to ensure that all students have access to the resources necessary for academic and social development. You will work with teachers and parents to make sure that developmentally challenged students have the proper tools and guidance to effectively learn within their skill sets. You will work with the leadership team to ensure that curricula and programs address the developmental and educational needs of students. We are seeking a professional who is: 1. Flexible and have the ability to relate well with young children. 2. Is a good listener and able to communicate with children in a way that they can understand. 3. Is compassionate and understanding of the difficulties that elementary school-aged children experience, such as making friends, bullying, family problems or learning disorders.
