Assistant Cheerleading Coach– Wilby High School
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Attend all sessions, contests and city league meetings;
- Assist in scheduling;
- Submit request for supplies and equipment;
- Report all injuries to the school principal;
- Report the loss of equipment to the middle or high school principal and athletic director; Submit a list of players to the school nurse for physical examinations;
- Collect and maintain record of all athletic activity permission forms from students;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Connecticut Department of Education coach permit or temporary emergency coach permit; up to date CPR and First Aid certificate; certificate of completion for Module 15 from the Connecticut Coaching Education Program (CCEP); high school diploma or above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a participant on a middle/high school sports team;
- Knowledge of teaching coaching techniques of the sport applying for;
- Experience in an urban school district and/or a multi-cultural environment

SALARY: Stipend per W.T.A. contract

Vacancy will be filled by qualified active Teacher in the WTA bargaining unit working at the building where the vacancy exist in accordance to Article 10(2) and 10(6)(a). If there is no qualified active teacher applying as noted above, then the vacancy shall be filled by qualified active teachers who work within the school district.
