Before and After School Group Leader (#1077132)
Part-time position 15 hrs/week, as well as predetermined full days throughout the school year.

Before and After School Care (BAASC) employees must have an enthusiastic personality and enjoy working in both indoor and outdoor environments with children. A sense of fun, concern for safety and an interest in working with children is essential, as is being a good role model. The Group Leader coordinates and leads activities for school aged children.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Arrive on time consistently in order to prepare for the day and to greet and sign-in the children •Conduct age-appropriate activities for a wide range of children •Responsibly monitor and direct all children in the area at all times •Clean and maintain the classroom/playground environment •Interact with, and engage the children in a positive manner •Provide constant, supportive and professional communication with staff, parents, and children •Implement positive methods of discipline and guidance •Assist Manager and Head Group Leader as required •Participate in at least 15 hours of BAASC training annually •Group Leaders are required to work a full shift between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on days when the center is open but school is not in session, and on days when children are released early from school •Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
REPORTING STRUCTURE The Group Leader reports directly to the BAASC Manager.
