7 & 8 Teachers
Must hold a license issued by North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Elementary Teacher, English, Journalism, Reading, Reading Specialist, Reading/Language Arts, Algebra I, Algebra II, Math (General), Pre-Algebra, Earth Science, Science (General), History - World, Social Studies (General).
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Develop and maintain a classroom climate which promotes a safe and supportive learning environment for students which foster student development and accomplishment in academic, emotional, social, cultural, creative, and other areas holistic development and student opportunity to play an active role in learning; resolve all disciplinary on their own initiative through the appropriate use of resources of the school, except when it is necessary to involve the Principal. Develop and implement appropriate performance-based , "authentic" methods of assessing student performance and development; maintain and report updated, accurate records of student gains and needs in accordance with the methods of assessment utilized. Provide opportunities for students to appropriately experience learning in a wide range of settings.
