GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will organize and provide intervention lessons to students who are at-risk of learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Providing instructional support in core areas

• Communicating progress and needs with paraprofessionals, teachers, and instructional coaches

• Periodic progress monitoring of student’s learning

• Active participant on school review and data teams

• Ability to deliver interventions to students

• Can interpret data and make changes in instruction based on data

• Knowledge and/or coursework in Child Development

• Ability to manage student behavior using a positive approach

• Positive attitude focused on student growth and development

• Love of children

• Ability to form positive relationships with students

• Previous experience working with struggling learners

• Previous experience working with children who have disabilities

• Excellent attendance and work habits

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• Associate’s Degree and/or passing WorkKeys scores to acquire Highly Qualified status per NCLB

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to pass a background check with no criminal history

HOURS/SHIFTS

6 hours per day when school is in session
