Richmond County is located 50 miles east of Richmond, Virginia on the peninsula called the "Northern Neck". This peninsula is bordered by the Potomac River, the Rappahannock River, and the Chesapeake Bay. Richmond County is a small school system that is noted for its academic excellence. All of Richmond County Schools are fully accredited through the State and have received district accreditation status through AdvancED.
