Description
Located in Folly Castle Historic District of Petersburg, Virginia, ARGS is the only full-time governor's school in the state devoted to the arts and technology. Our unique environment helps over 360 students excel in our numerous areas of focus. We have a diverse population here at ARGS with grades 9 -12, and 55 full and adjunct faculty and staff.
Mission Statement
The Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology provides gifted and talented students a differentiated and rigorous education, cultivates a supportive environment that inspires unique artistic and technological visions, promotes cultural tolerance, nurtures community partnerships, and produces active, engaged citizens.
