Jackson River Technical Center

Jackson River Technical Center is a regional technical center that serves Alleghany County and Covington City Public Schools. We currently offer students the opportunity to learn skills in nine programs. JRTC offers Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Computer Systems Technology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electricity, Marketing, Nurse Aide, and Welding. We serve around 375 students a day in the nine programs.

Our mission is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to be able to graduate from JRTC with the skills to go straight to work, or to continue their education and technical training.
