Description

The town of Texhoma, OK has two School Districts, one in Oklahoma and one in Texas. The Oklahoma district is a 5th-12th grade. Our Elementary school consist of 5th-8th grade and High School is 9th-12th grade. The Texas district is a PK-4th grade district. The two districts educate resident students from both Oklahoma and Texas. Texhoma, OK is located in the Oklahoma Panhandle, Texas County. We are 20 miles West of Guymon, OK and 10 miles from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. We are a small rural community with strong family values and low crime rates. We are a safe school district with class sizes ranging from 25-30 students per grade. We take pride in our educational achievement, as well as our extra-curricular programs. We have a large student participation rate with our extra-curricular programs that range from athletic events/teams to our FFA program. We have a great rapport and working relationship with our parents and other community members. Our district motto is "A Tradition of Excellence". Our location in Oklahoma Panhandle offers families hiking, fishing, and snow skiing in New Mexico, and Colorado. As well Shopping and dining in Amarillo, TX 1.5 hours away. Texhoma is located 5 hours from Oklahoma City and our Oklahoma City Thunder!
