Position Requirements:
· Successful completion of training from a recognized vocational and/or technical school, or an institution offering advanced training
· Working knowledge of, and experience with Windows XP, OS X
· Working knowledge of, and experience with, multiple network operating systems including Windows 2000/2003 Server
· Working knowledge of PA systems, projectors and other multimedia equipment.
· Experience with software, hardware and peripherals
· Solid background in troubleshooting
· Willingness to accept responsibility and to cooperate with school personnel. A+ certification preferred
Brief Statement of Duties:
- Troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, and accessories.
- Installing software and hardware as required.
- Providing assistance and technical advice in hardware and software installation.
- Performing system backups as required.
- Providing network support, including installation of network hardware, software, and systems.
- Assisting teachers and other personnel concerning Genesis student database and other educational software.
- Assisting in maintaining computer/repair inventory.
- Assisting in help desk operations.
- Performing other duties assigned by the IT Department.
